Geoff Tate
It never fails, Geoff Tate will remind you of one of your friends. Maybe a cousin. Maybe yourself. His laid back, conversational storytelling has earned him praise and fans through out the comedy community. One guy, in Seattle, even referred to him as a bar room hero. That’s what he is: a guy telling stories like you’re hanging out with him in a bar. Whether it’s something you’ve done, something you wish you’d done or something you’re glad you never did, Geoff never hesitates to tell the truth about it, however unflattering it might be. The son of a pentecostal minister and a drug abuser for most of his early 20’s, Geoff is the rare comedian who talks about religion without condescension and drugs without glorification. Dr. Gonzo
Back in the early 80′s, Dr. Gonzo was one of the biggest names in comedy. Not only was he one of the most successful acts of the day, he was one of the guys that helped usher in the comedy boom. More than just an observational comic, Dr. Gonzo (also known as John Means) also played guitar and performed parody songs. His songs were so good in fact, he often toured with some of the biggest rock bands of the day. After a decade of performing, however, Dr. Gonzo decided to hang it up, and go back to living the life of John Means. There he became a teacher and opened a few restaurants. This wouldn’t be the end of Dr. Gonzo though, over the past few years he’s gotten the itch to take the stage and is now touring across the country.
