Ms. Pat

Let’s start with Ms. Pat hasn’t lived the life of your typical comedian. Born to a single mother of 5, living on welfare in a tough West end neighborhood of Atlanta, Ms. Pat learned early on she would have to fend for herself in this world. Her Grandfather ran a “bootleg” house where as a kid Pat learned how to roll the drunks for food money. She had her first child at 14 and her second child at 15, “I knew I wasn’t going to college so I figured why not get an early start on my family”. She became a drug dealer in her teens known by the street name “Rabbit”. “I figured there were two things I could do in my neighborhood to earn money, either sell drugs or sell p*@#$y”. At 16 she purchased her first Cadillac. During her teens she was shot twice and arrested numerous times. At 19 years of age she met a man, and with his help and encouragement decided to get out of the “life”. “I was so tired, I thought for sure I was going to end up dead. He was 21 and a military vet and he showed me a way out”.

At 19 with two toddlers and a new husband she is handed 4 more young children from her sister who was struggling with drug addiction. The next 10 years of her life are spent raising those 6 children. Part of that process included visits to the welfare office for food stamps and Section 8 housing assistance for her sister’s children. It was during these visits that Ms. Pat was first told she had a talent for telling funny stories. In 2003 with her case-worker’s encouragement she decided to go on stage and appeared at the Open-Mic-Night at “The Pub” in Atlanta. From the moment she stepped on stage she knew she had found her place. She began pouring punch lines across stages at the rate other moms pour milk at the counter.

With a comedy career now spilling over 9 years this powerful woman brings an honest, in your face, and hilarious perspective to her shows. She has appeared on TV Guide Network’s “Standup in Stilettos”, and Nickelodeons “Mom’s Night Out”. She has an upcoming appearance on BET’s “Comicview” this fall. She is a regular guest on the syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show, and appears on Katt Williams DVD “Kattpacalypse”.

Ms. Pat currently resides with her husband and three children in Indianapolis. Follow her on twitter and facebook here. Visit her website here.

Bobcat Goldthwait

Bobcat Goldthwait is no stranger to entertainment and is one of the most recognizable comedians in show business today.  Bobcat’s stand up features hilarious riffs on politics, divorce, going broke, and his career as a director of film. His show is a wild ride of fun finding the funny no matter what the situation.

Goldthwait has been on the creative fast track driven by his passion to make movies. Bobcat’s newest film “Call Me Lucky,” is a documentary about political satirist comedian Barry Crimmins that just won Best Documentary at the Boulder International Film Festival and the Tampa Gasparilla Film Festival as well as the Audience Award at the Chattanooga Film Festival! His sixth movie entitled “Willow Creek,” a movie about Big Foot, is now available on DVD and video downloads.  The film is a found footage horror film about a young couple who hike into the remote woods in search of the famous Patterson/Gimlin Bigfoot footage sight. It was shot on location in and around Willow Creek, and features a mix of actors (like Alexie Gilmore and Bryce Johnson who co-star,) and local townspeople in real interviews done for the film.

His inimitable talent for writing and directing was clearly displayed in his previous movie “God Bless America.” His often off the beaten path style of creating flicks allows audiences to experience films that other artists may have never dared to attempt. “God Bless America” is a black comedy that stars Joel Murray and Tara Lynne Barr in a modern day Bonnie & Clyde. In the words of the director himself, “It’s a violent film about kindness.” Bobcat’s imaginative eye behind the camera caught the attention of Esquire Magazine where they named Goldthwait “Director of the Year.”

Bobcat unleashed his one of a kind brand of comedy in his Showtime one hour special entitled “You Don’t Look the Same Either.” The genre-defying Police Academy alum returned with a self-deprecating and topical instant comedy classic, taking the audience on a hilarious journey through his 30 year career as an eighties icon, to the guy who lit the Tonight Show set on fire…literally!

He has come a long way since his first film “Shakes the Clown” back in 1991.  Since then Goldthwait has gone to make many more movies including “Windy City Heat,” “Sleeping Dogs Lie,” and “World’s Greatest Dad” that stared Robin Williams. There’s no doubt, there will be many more movies to come.

Since his first appearance on David Letterman at the age of 20,  Bobcat has expanded his resume, directing movies and sharing his behind the camera talents on shows such as; “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The Demetri Martin show,” “The Chappelle Show,” “The Man Show,” “Maron,” and “Crank Yankers.”  Best known for his unforgettable movies that were huge in the 80’s, Bobcat has also starred in several HBO specials and a slew of television appearances too numerous to mention.  Bob continues to push the envelope with his unique brand of humor headlining major comedy clubs across the country.

Friday

Ryan Singer

Ryan Singer is the rarest of breeds: A comic’s comic who electrifies mainstream audiences with material that is both uncompromising and unpretentious. LaughSpin says, “With his high-energy delivery and unpretentious leanings, there’s not a lot to dislike about comedian Ryan Singer. And it’s not just us saying it: In the last few years, he’s won over audiences headlining the nation’s finer comedy clubs and was hailed by Marc Maron in Rolling Stone as a comedian “who should be big.”

His debut album, HOW TO GET HIGH WITHOUT DRUGS, is an intense exercise in wordplay, improvisation, and storytelling. Those who enter Singer’s world will be rewarded with knowledge of the connections between dimwitted hunters and Tyra Banks, cookies and racial tension, and even gay marriage and dragons, courtesy of a comedian who expertly connects insanity and brilliance.

Both his debut album and sophomore release COMEDY WONDER TOWN were selected as Top 10 Comedy CD’s of the year (2010 & 2012).  He was selected by LA Weekly as one of “10 LA Comics to Watch” for 2014, was mentioned in NY Magazine as a “Comic to Watch,” was one of 4 finalist in CMT’s Next Big Comic Contest, is a frequent guest on the WTF Podcast w/Marc Maron and the Bob & Tom Show, regularly heard on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio, and was a regional finalist in Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight.  He was the winner of the Golden Shingle Award at the Rooftop Comedy Festival, an award given to the next rising star in comedy. Andy Pitz

I’m a standup comedian based in New York City and I’ve been doing standup for over 20 years. I was born and raised in Buffalo NY, and now my wife and I live in Rockland County NY with our cat, a dog, and a baby girl. Not to mention my wife’s mom and her boyfriend also live with us. Yes, pretty brutal.

My material is mostly clean, which leads me to a lot of corporate gigs and private shows where no profanity is allowed. I also headline comedy clubs all over the world where anything goes. I’ve been on TV a number of times, highlighted by appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I was also on Star Search but that was pretty lame. The other two shows were really fun and awesome experiences. Clips of those appearances are on my videos page and here’s the link to that video.

The topics I talk about change all the time of course but lately I seem to be focusing on my marriage, fatherhood, technology / social networking and just everyday things that I get obsessed with.
