Best Of BOB & TOM

Tuesday

Chris Bowers

Bowers won the Midwest Ultimate Funny Championships and the Louisville flight of the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival. He has a universal appeal to men and women of all ages. Bower’s ability to break down human behavior into relatable and hilarious truths is the key to his humor. He is a crowd favorite at colleges all across the country. Check out his podcast, the TNT Dynamite Party Hour.

Mr. Skin

He’s seen tens of thousands of movies, but doesn’t remember a single plot. He’s Mr. Skin, the world’s foremost authority on female nudity in film, and he’s helping his followers learn the true meaning of “double feature.” From his humble beginnings as a young man collecting nude clips of hot actresses from PG and R rated movies, Mr Skin has turned his hobby into an empire. His website includes screen shots of naked celebs, movie reviews and his annual Anatomy Awards! So if you’re looking for a hard to find clip, or looking for a good rental suggestion for the evening, make sure to check out all the titillating archived data at MrSkin.com!

Costaki Economopoulos

Costaki Economopoulos is a comedian, true, but he’s also a football fan. Those two factors alone make him the perfect candidate to give us a comedic look back at the NFL each week with his new feature that’s also been picked up by The Huffington Post and Bleacher Report. With his Greek heritage, it’s not surprising that he’s been described as a “joke philosopher,” and we’re sure he’s not the only one saying that. Costaki is also a talented joke writer who’s punchlines have been heard on “The Tonight Show,” Showtime, BET, and MTV. Follow Costaki on facebook and twitter. Visit his website here.

More annoying accolades: Mark was named one of Comedy Central’s Comics To Watch for the 2011 New York Comedy Festival. Mat Alano-Martin

Mat Alano-Martin comes to comedy from the world of rock and roll, where he spent 10 years touring North America as an Americana singer-songwriter, opening for a who’s who of indie rockers and roots revivalists and occasionally headlining his own smaller, less well attended shows. With a comedic style that bridges the alternative sensibilities of his indie-rock background with the more mainstream views of his rural and blue collar youth, Alano-Martin has appeared at comedy clubs, punk rock dives, redneck roadhouses, casinos, colleges, living rooms and everywhere in between. Follow him on twitter. Visit his website here.

Heywood Banks

Anyone who has ever spent any time listening to the BOB & TOM Show has no doubt heard a song by legendary comedian Heywood Banks. That’s because Heywood’s catalogue of classic tunes includes fan favorites like “Big Butter Jesus,” “I Like Summer,” “Toast,” “18 Wheels on a Big Rig,” “Punjab” and “Wiper Blades” just to name a few. In fact, Heywood has appeared on 36 of BOB & TOM’s comedy albums, more than any other artist by far. We’ve just been informed that Heywood may be adding to his already extensive list of songs when he visits us next. Now we’re just hoping he knows the lyrics. Visit his website here.

Friday
